Despite missing out on the World Cup, Kvalatschlia is still considered a contender for next year's Ballon d'Or. The Paris Saint-Germain player also expressed his honor at receiving support from Michel Platini and Toni Kroos.
The striker proudly accepted the support after learning that Michel Platini and Toni Kroos both considered him a favorite.
"I don't think this is a decision I make, but rather one made by the people who make the decisions. Just being able to compete alongside these players is a true joy in itself. In life and in football, I believe anything is possible. That's why I'm at Paris Saint-Germain today, and I'm incredibly proud of it. I don't know how many times a player has won the Ballon d'Or without having participated in the World Cup that year."
It's a joy when legends like Michel Platini and Toni Kroos say I deserve it. It's a joy if even just one person on this planet thinks you deserve one of the most important trophies in football.
