England legend Sheringham believes Harry Kane will not win the Ballon d'Or because his performances in the Champions League and World Cup were not outstanding enough.
Sheringham stated on talkSPORT that Kane is not yet qualified to win the Ballon d'Or this year.
“Would I vote for him? I don’t think so,” he said on the show. “I think he had a very good season, but Ballon d’Or winners usually win the Champions League or the World Cup, or the most important competition at the time. He didn’t do that, so in my opinion, he was just a runner-up. Sorry, Harry!”
Sheringham supports Rodri winning the Ballon d'Or again: "He's a leader, and his teams usually win every week. Manchester City, Spain. I know he's gone now, but no matter who he plays for, that team will win."
