Madrid Mayor: We won't demand an apology from Alvarez; let him get back on track first.

Madrid Mayor José Luis Martínez Almeida spoke about Alvarez's situation at Atlético Madrid in an interview with Cadena Cope.

Alvarez wanted to join Barcelona this summer, but Atletico Madrid refused to consider the deal, and fans were angry at the striker's attitude.

Atletico Madrid fan Martinez Almeida said: "Am I angry with Julian? Yes. Does showing this anger do us any good? No. This may be controversial among Atletico Madrid fans. I'm not asking Julian to apologize, but I hope he scores."

“What we need to do now is get Julian back on track, otherwise his value will be halved next year, and other aspects will also be affected.
