Arsenal have officially announced the nominees for Player of the Month for August: Saka, Odegaard, Gabriel, and Karafiori.

The first Player of the Month voting for the 2026/27 season has begun. Which candidate will you vote for?
We started the season in a perfect way by beating Manchester City 3-0 at the beginning of the month to lift the Community Shield; then we beat Coventry City 3-0 and Aston Villa 1-0 away.
The first award of the season has already produced four nominees, and below is the list of nominees for your consideration.
Carafiori has had an outstanding start to the season.
The full-back scored less than 60 seconds into the Community Shield match against Manchester City, giving the team a good start to the season.
After that, Kara helped the team keep three consecutive clean sheets, and also assisted Havertz and Saka to score in the matches against Coventry and Aston Villa respectively.
August has been a fruitful month for Calafiori since joining Bologna, with all of his last five Premier League goal involvements coming in the first two games of the 25/26 and 26/27 seasons.
Saka, who was in good form at the end of last season, has continued his good momentum.
After coming on as a substitute and making a strong showing in the Community Shield victory over Manchester City, Saka started and scored in the Emirates Stadium's 3-0 win against Coventry.
The English winger then scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park, helping the team maintain a perfect record until September.
Odegaard's performance in August energized the entire team.
After a successful World Cup with Norway, the captain started all three matches and demonstrated creativity during the team's three-game winning streak.
Ødegaard helped his team create the second goal against Manchester City in Cardiff, and then scored himself, shaking off Donnarumma and sending the ball into the far corner.
The captain then combined with Saka and Ben White to score his first Premier League goal since December 2025 in the team's 3-0 victory over Coventry in the opening round of the Premier League.
Gabriel celebrated his 6th anniversary as a Gunner on September 1st, and he once again proved why Arsenal brought him to the Emirates Stadium in 2020.
The Brazilian defender has seamlessly returned to the team's system this season, playing every minute of the first three games.
Arsenal kept three clean sheets in these three matches, helping the team win their first trophy of the season and securing two consecutive victories as the reigning Premier League champions.
